GSW DRAFT PICKS AVAILABLE.

Written by Peaceman on .

GSW brass : Bob Myers indicated he's unlikely to draft four players one year after the Warriors selected three.

"You have to surround youth with veterans, or else you're setting a bad precedent," Myers said. "A lot of young players crave discipline and mentorship, and we've got to find experienced players who can provide that for our youth."

Golden State’s first pick will be seventh. They also have the 30th, 35th, and 52nd picks.

The Knicks should be all over this. Pick 30 & 35 can be had for a Landry Fields, Toney Douglas or Cash, wihich Dolan has plenty.
It is also a great reason to LBE on draft night. LGK

COMMIN SOON TO MSG..... DON'T SPECULATE...BANK IT BY OR BEFORE TRADE DEADLINE! THANK ISIAH THOMAS!

After the lockout of last year, teams were scrambling to put together a club to win the chip. The KNICKS were included despite all feelings of NUMB.
Mike Dantoni was overwhelmed and emphatic about CP3 coming  to NY for Amare, Landry Fields,Toney Douglas and the 48TH pick in this years draft!

A MOLE ( HERB WILLIAMS IS THE BEST GUESS) in the Knick organisation informed the LAKERS of such.. which led them to bleed the bank with Gasol and Odom/Bynum offers for CP3...because the Lakers were trying to STOP MIAMI II assembling before their very eyes in the City of NEW YORK!

WHAT HAPPENED?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

DAVID STERN COULD NOT LET CP3 COME TO NEW YORK AFTER SUCH AN UNPRESEIDENT BLOCK OF THE LAKER TRADE.
STERN HAD TO CARRY THE CROSS FOR SMALL MARKET TEAMS. WHICH...... left the KNICKS with inside info that TYSON CHANDLER
WOULD BE THE LAMB FOR CP3. WHICH THE KNICKS REACTED TO WITH LIGHTING QUICK TRANSACTIONS TO SECURE CHANDLER.

CP3 has quoted in the past he wanted to play with TYSON CHANDLER AGAIN. LET'S forget that Carmelo Anthony is his best friend in the world.
His best BEST MAN AT HIS WEDDING TO LALA.

JEREMY LIN??? That is as asinine as it comes. this guy is D-League 100% and will never have the perfect storm that produced LINSANITY>

Stay tuned as Leon Rose, ^^^^^^^^ and ********** keeps us updated.

CP3 to a friend ( SOURCE)  after emulsion this year...... I'd rather fall on my Sword than stay here another year!
LOOK FOR AMARE AND THE SAME CAST IN a trade for CP3 coming soon to a Garden near YOU!

DX EXPRESS PREDICTS THE KNICKS TO SELECT PG SCOTT MACHADO WITH THE 48TH PICK

Written by Peaceman on .

How many of you knew the Knick have pick number 48 in this years draft??? I for one overlooked it. However, here is DX Express breakdown of the local point guard from Iona. From DX Express:

After finishing second in the nation in assists per game in 2010-2011, Iona's Scott Machado still entered his senior season as a player under the national radar. Through only seven games this season, however, Machado has changed that in a big way, catching the attention of NBA scouts with some big outings against the likes of Purdue, Maryland and St. Joe's.

Machado spent the summer representing Brazil at the World University Games, and has entered this season with an improved conditioning level and leaner physique, giving him a quicker burst with the ball in hands, and the ability run Iona's up-tempo offense for over 36 minutes per game so far this season.
Standing 6'1” with a strong, sturdily built frame, Machado isn't a top notch athlete at the point guard position by NBA standards, but he does appear to have the physical tools to be able to compete on both ends of the floor as long as he maintains his conditioning level.

On the offensive end, Machado does much of his damage in transition, leading Iona's high-octane attack and showing excellent court vision leading the break with the ability to thread the needle to a teammate running the floor or find an open shooter at the 3-point line. He has a great command of the ball and moves very fluidly and confidently with the dribble with a nice top speed, while also having a knack for making difficult passes look easy.

In the half-court, Machado is less dynamic, but is still very effective thanks to the extra burst he has this season, which enables him to get into the paint more frequently off the bounce. He shows excellent passing instincts when attacking the basket, whether it be dump-offs to cutters for layups or kick-outs to open shooters. His lack of size and vertical explosiveness hurts him an a finisher, however, and would likely be a bigger issue in the NBA with the longer, more athletic players he'd face once he entered the paint.

Machado has also shot the ball much better this season, albeit in a very small sample size, improving his percentages on 2-pointers, 3-pointers, and from the free throw. His solid early season 39% from behind the 3-point arc will bode well for him if he can sustain it for the remainder of the season. He certainly shoots the ball like he thinks he's a shooter, confidently spotting up and pulling up from well behind the NBA 3-point line on occasion without any hesitation. He has a decent stroke and fluidly shoots the ball off the dribble, but he could probably stand to be a bit more selective with when to fire away from deep.

Defensively is where scouts will likely have their biggest questions marks with Machado. Iona mixes up its defenses quite a bit, with some pressing and some zone, so Machado hasn't had to play as much half-court man-to-man. In what we could see, however, he looks like he has some work to do to defend point guards at the NBA level. His lateral quickness looks mediocre, he's a bit on the smaller side, and he's been beaten off the dribble badly on a few occasions and also has done a poor job fighting through screens. Some of this could be correctable and some could be a result of the system he's in, but this will likely be an area that NBA teams will want to get a better gauge of as they assess his potential at the next level.

PEACEMAN'S CHOICE ..LILLARD OR TEAGUE

Written by PEACEMAN on .

DAMIAN LILLARD   ( top)                                                                            TEAGUE'S LITTLE BROTHER, MARQUIS (bottom)

Dx Draft Express has PG Damian Lillard going to the Suns at #13 and PG Marquis Teague going to Orlando at 19. Both are the cream of the crop PG'S that the Knicks could use to make a run at the chip. Remember Rondo was not even close to the term "Vet" when he won his chip. The best the Knicks front office could do would be package Landry Fields with Jeremy Lin for either. Sounds crazy? Yeah.. but neither Orlando or the Suns have much to lose by trading their pick for a 24 year old Phenomenon Lin and 24 year old Handy Landry Fields. Keep in mind Dolan can by some later round picks and include them for either of the above players.

Rumors a circling that NY will make a run at Steve Nash who turns 39 next week. After having three starters out of the playoffs this year, it would be Linsane to count on a 40 year old PG to make it all 82 games plus the playoffs.  Just Blogging......

THE PERFECT STORM

Written by Peaceman on .

Image Detail
TWO KNICKS THAT WILL BE MAJOR IN CREATING THE PERFECT STORM

There was someone on the Knicks’ roster who once averaged 10.6 points and 3.0 assists across a full 82-game NBA schedule? What if I told you that guy was 26 years old, healthy, and undoubtedly fresh since he hasn’t exactly had to deal with much recent wear and tear? Or that as recently as last year he had scoring outbursts of 30, 29 and 28, had a couple of double-doubles, knocked down nine 3-pointers in a game? Yes that is Toney Douglas. We need him and
33 year old Mike Bibby to have the next three games of their life's.

We need Melo to be Melo. Jr and Novak must make it Rain along with some help from Bibby and Toney Douglas. Amare seems to play better with only his right hand due to him not trying to dribble 10 feet from the basket. Tyson Chandler is far removed from having the Flu. Tyson will shut down the lane tonight.

History will show that the heat failure was to close out New York last Sunday. Now??? With all the injuries the Knicks have, they have created THE PERFECT STORM.
The Knicks shock the world tonight and Blow out the HEAT to bring game 6 back to the Garden.  Final Score Knicks 99- Heat 87..Believe it!

Melo, Stat, Knicks Make Us Smile With First Win In 14 Playoff Games

Written by Y. Scott on .

The Knicks were faced with a true test of character going into Game 4 of the series against Miami and my NY Knicks passed with flying colors. The Knicks were able to prevent the series sweep and end the thirteen game playoff losing streak. The Knicks won Game 4, 89 – 87, ensuring our season will last at least one more game, going back to Miami for Game 5.

Stoudemire was unexpectedly able to suit up for Game 4 and he set the tone for the Knicks very early in the game with some good hustle play. He was playing as if he knew he had disappointed the fans with his moment of stupidity and he was out to make a statement in Game 4, and the statement was indeed made. New York played with intensity and inspiration but went into halftime down by six points, 38 - 44.

In the 3rd quarter the Knicks were able to come from an 11 points deficit and the fans got behind the team, shouting, “Beat the Heat!!! Beat the Heat!!!” The Knicks had led in the 1st quarter, struggled in the 2nd quarter and began to rally in the 3rd quarter.

MELO JOINS EWING AND BERNARD KING AS THE ONLY KNICKS IN HISTORY TO SCORE 40 PLUS POINTS IN AN ELIMINATION GAME

Written by Peaceman on .

Melo to Lebron " You will see my face three more games... BYOTCH."

Despite minimal offensive contributions from JR, Novak,,,, MELO and Amare ended Ewing's Curse. The Fat lady was warming up to sing..only to shove
a 12 inch hot-dog down her robust throat! A few years ago the Boston Red soxs overcame the Curse of the Bambino when they came back from
0-3 to beat our very own Yankees! When Landry, JR and Novak step up in Miami the Knicks will bring it back to Miracle on 33RD street. Believe it!
NBA teams down 0-3 in best-of-sevens are 0-100 in their attempts to win the series. There is no reason these 2012 Knicks could not be the first. Just believe. A 1000 mile journey begins with one step. We have taken ours, next step ..South Beach on Wednesday! LGK

Heat Demoralize Fighting Knicks

Written by Y. Scott on .

(Editors Note:  Check out last night's LBE to get a true sense of the frustration which accompanied the dubious distinction of our playoff losing streak record.  Fanatics welcome our new reporter Y. Scott who will provide us recap commentary.  I htink he has one more game to comment on this season.)

After being shellacked by the Heat at home, the Knicks are now distinctively known as the team which has lost thirteen straight playoff games, an NBA record, after losing to Miami in Game 3. Last night the Heat took firm grip of the playoff series with an 87 – 70 victory in Game 3, to lead the series 3 – 0 and will be looking for the sweep on Sunday.

The Knicks were without three starters but were still able to bring a stern defense that was lacking in the previous games. The Knicks were playing their best basketball of the series but only led by as much as four points going into halftime and by as much as eleven points the entire game.

What made the victory more impressive for the Heat was the fact that LeBron had to sit on the bench early in the 3rd quarter due to foul trouble. This led to the emergence of Dwayne Wade to take control of the game, giving Miami the lead and they never looked back. The Knicks were limited to eight field goals the entire second half and James ended the 4th quarter with 17 points. The entire game was a dogfight, full of physicality and lack of offense from both sides.

The Knicks played some commendable basketball; when Carmelo Anthony is jumping for loose balls you know the Knicks gave it their all. Carmelo shot 7 of 23 for 22 points in a losing effort. The Knicks were simple outclassed by a much better team last night and for the entire series. I am a fan of the Knicks but the same storyline is expected come Sunday.
