Yeah, we've had true New Yorkers ball for the Knicks and we've had ballers from other towns become true New Yorkers by playing for the Knicks. Still, there is nothing like a Knick acknowledging New York roots by hanging out with the rest of us and keeping it relatively real. That's one reason I love Metta and think he was meant to be a New Yorker a long time ago, some where in his prime. But we got him now and he is so entertaining, even as he takes the train to the game with his homies.
Metta is on track to be a mainstay in New York and the starting lineup, especially if Bargnani does not become the offensive mid-range and long-range threat we need him to be.
Crazy? nah, you just need to grok the man through the right lens.He glides and slides the cement to that special Big Apple beat.Being a GM in NYC must be like taking a a trip to Oz, the place not the Doc's show. You need to find some brains, courage and heart. Then you get to be the Wiz, not pick the Weiss.Just do you Ron.That's all anyone can ask.Weiss was a gutless pick. With Peace then we might have been a contenda now.But better to have ya now then not at allLGK.
