It's hard to tell what we're going to get with the current Knicks team that has been put together. Certainly, given the talent, real and diminished, the potential to make a better run at the Chip than we did last year is possible. However, even if the Knicks are any good their biggest problem will be the level of chemistry which certainly will not match that of other contenders such as the Thunder, Spurs, Celtics and Heat. Nevertheless, the off-season moves have gotten the attention of the talking heads, like Shaquille O'Neal, who likes the Knicks, and Charles Barkley who disses them, and the contenders.
Of course Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal always have something (or nothing, depending how you look at it) to say and it is their job to talk about the Knicks. However, as Shaq settles into his new career as an over-educated analyst and Barkley perfects his role as huggable but disposable curmudgeon, it's the expressions of Chris Bosh, center/forward for the Champion Heat, that are more most noteworthy.
Bosh, now accepting his role as a center for the Heat, said “I just want to say — the freakin’ Knicks, man. I think they’re going to be a good team. Nobody’s really talking about them, and I don’t like it. They’re flying under the radar right now. I think the Knicks are going to be a very good team.”
Shaq seems to think the Knicks have what it takes, from a talent standpoint ot beat the Heat, but he questions whether they have the heart and commitment to be champions. He said, "I think when Carmelo plays against LeBron (James) and (Dwyane Wade), he should take it personally, like he's always talked about last (among the three). When Amar'e plays against (Chris) Bosh, he should take it personally. That's what I always used to do. I played against guys, I used to take it personally that you're not talking about me. They need to do that. In order to beat Miami. O'Neal continued. "They've done OK. But in New York, OK is not good enough. In order to have a legitimate 1-2 punch, OK is not good enough."
Unlike Bosh and Shaq, Barkley had nothing nice to say about the Knicks. A week ago Charles Barkley, an avowed hater, suggested that the New York Knicks were really the "Old York Knicks" lost in a time warp. About the Knicks he opined, "They must think it's 1995. It's 2012. They went out and got 92-year-old Jason Kidd and 92-year-old Marcus Camby."
Here's some motivation for our team.Post ESPN's opinion of our team on the training camp wall.
Nice combination of wiley vets who have won and hungry rooks with something to prove around a solid core 3. IT is now on you Woodrow.
"According to Ric Bucher of ESPN.com, Rasheed Wallace has been working out with Marcus Camby and Kurt Thomas at the Knicks practice facility, adding that the team is "considering" him. Wallace has not played in an NBA game since June 2010 and officially announced his retirement in August of that year."
Well we already got the "old", the "blind or crippled" can't be far off.Kind of nice that Grunge and braintrust of "advi-sores" have such a soft spot for NBA senior citizens.Do they get senior's discounts on their bench seats?LGSK, Let's Go Slowly Knicks, What's Your Hurry Sonny?
Good article on our starting SG. It appears to be similar to a Modi joint!
Marbs not a Studly/Melo fan, but likes them for a quickie playoff appearance.

Knicks shopping at Daffy's to fill that last spot.Amundson latest to be offered going out of business salary spot.Somebody who can't make more in Urea-ope or Made in China league will take it.

Dr. J once said, "I have the best job in the whole world. If they didn't pay me I would be doing it for free."
Great attitude meet great attitude. How many people do what they love for a living, AND APPRECIATE IT?Gotta love these guys.
“Every once a while, I’ll take a look back and just be like, ‘I can’t believe this is happening,’ ” Lin said. “I was just appreciating the fact that I get to wake up and play basketball for a living. And even the whole NBA thing ... [to] be able to play basketball for your job, like those are things I remind myself of every day.” Read more: http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/knicks/lin_needs_bed_check_5fB4MYmfBylaSoqbatZgEK#ixzz26wufDqdO
"Los Angeles Clippers free agent forward Kenyon Martin is once again being linked to the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics, but according to MSG’s Alan Hahn, the snag in Martin joining any team is that the 34-year-old refuses to sign for the veterans minimum:
Chris Andersen, Martin’s teammate with the Denver Nuggets, is reportedly also linked to the Knicks, with Hahn saying the “Birdman” has been “pushing the idea, [b]ut the sentiment isn’t mutual.” Ditto for Tracy McGrady, who tried out with the Knicks but according to Hahn, “there doesn’t appear to be great interest there.”
Because of their salary cap, the Knicks would only be able to afford a player at the veterans minimum with their current roster."
Let's blame JLinn and his greed for the Knicks being broke, not the mo-mo's who gave out the money.
Why would a guy who "used" NY for just money have such a strange uni for his screen saver? The heart wants what it wants.
Bosh knows the deal. The Knicks are the biggest challenge to their repeat..which ain't gonna happen. Word is Felton has lost major weight and gained a lot of quickness. Chris Copeland is our next Anthony Mason. Melo & Amare are in great shape. Camby will take pressure off Tyson. JR Smith will have a career year. Novak is working to shoot off the dribble, Jason Kidd is taking cabs instead of driving..... Pablo is ready to go... WE GOT THIS ..Fuch fat mouth Barkley
THIS IS OUR YEAR....
@Steady Did Wiley ever catch any Road Runner?Maybe we should put some Acme Safe advo on our Unis?
@Tman Berman, Post. "Let's get clos...a, ...closer than close...

41 ejections from a defensive specialist.Yeah baby, Let's get closer...
I feel much better about the knicks after hearing Marbury's opinion.
