Twitter Tuesday Vol. III

Written by Aaron Hodges on .

It's Tuesday, so let's discover what's happening on Twitter. Wilson Chandler and Raymond Felton have been scrutunized more then any other Knicks over the course of their losing streak so I began with Tweets related to them. Here we go......

SuperVILLAIN_J: #knicks wilson chandler woke up, amare is being amare, gallo on fire, sean williams doing what he do = 6 game streak over!

Always nice to get a win and snap a losing streak even if it is against a lesser opponent. Wilson Chandler was a hot topic on twitter. Most folks were happy to see him break out of his slump but others wondered about his lack of emotion.

houseruthbuilt: Has Wilson Chandler ever smiled?

Rarely, but he has. Will is usually cool as a fan even with trade rumors and a search for a new agent lingering in the background.

LoveThoseKnicks: Knicks desperately needed this win. Good to see Chandler come out of his funk and Felton looking to pass a little more.

 I second that emotion.

kellogs109: Went to a knicks game. Now its time to figure out how to make jason gallinari my new boyfriend...

Oh boy! This tweet reminded me of this Onion Sports Dome segment that aired a few weeks ago. If you haven’t seen this show yet definitely check it out on Tuesday’s at 10:30 pm ET on Comedy Central.

ballark: RT @EricCarvin: Knicks legend Walt Frazier on why he's not interested in Facebook or Twitter: "I don't even want to keep up with myself!"

Somebody please tell Clyde that he’s missing out and he can follow me on twitter

So it seems tha somebody was watching the SOTU tonight, A-Double! Barack will not be the first president on a quest to win the future. That was very Kenedy-esque of him to evoke that concept. Seems to Steady that someone else had coined that term--maybe Reagan? Definitely not Carter or Dukhakis.

A-Dub,
You and Bloggas in these here parts will note and come to appreciate that Steady does not stray into Fantasy GM or "roster bating" as jtshoop exclaimed here previously. In fact, Steady would coin that practice as "Master Bating the Roster" and "Hoping that the desired players comes through" the way you like it. We see Peaceman, DLT (of the Force MDs) and O&B's cloaked (though later outed) "Master Bating the Roster" efforts all in the name of trying to get a better squad at Mecca. They won't stop 'til they get enough! When will that be? When it's all said and done! But right now, Peaceman and O&B are the Masters and they are the resident Fantasy GMs who are Bating the roster (but at least they're not master bating da RO_Oster--they're just dumping him for Meloman). Now those cats are super Blogas and stars in these here parts. But when they get into Roster Bating--they are Masters! ;-)

@Steady There is nothing quite as much fun as de-coding a poetic Steady joint.. "Master Bating The Rooster" I mean roster. Love it. Very Useful.

@Steady LOL Steady my main man. That was some funny stuff. I have a nice read for you coming out regarding the Masta of the player loving baters, Covetous Fanatic.

Two parts, the first one should be full of laughs!

Ooh Steady! Somebody was watching The State of the Union! Seems to me the Knicks need a Chris Christie to clog arteries, I mean the lane, instead of a Barack Obama to shoot inconsistently from both sides of the lane. As for NJ that's another story.

Fanatics,
Just in case there was any doubt about why there is a losing proposition at Mecca.
"We're not a fastbreak team by any stretch of imagination," (Kobe) Bryant said. "But fastbreaks don't win championships anyway. If they did, Phoenix would've won a bunch."
After having scored 108 points on a team and you have 3:00 on the clock, what is the meaning of runin' and gunin'? That playground basketball shows no innovation. As a transformational leader just said: "We can't win [in] the future without innovation". That's why having a beast of a center who can't be defended on the low post should be brought in for late fourth quarter minutes. Free Eddy! Free Randy! Fire D'Amphony!

NY Post
"Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony's departure to the Knicks is "inevitable," an NBA general manager told The Sporting News on Sunday.
According to the unnamed executive, the only question that remains is whether the Knicks will obtain Anthony via trade this season or sign him in free agency over the summer.
"Now it’s inevitable. I don’t know how many other teams are going to want to get involved in any negotiation for him, because who wants to go through what the Nets just went through? It’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when,” the GM said."
