HEY A-DUB. THIS BUD'S FOR YOU!

@AaronHodges Sometimes the skip pass is the best move Aaron.
What are you're thoughts on the trade?
I'm staying neutral. You and Peceaman are both cool dudes.
Oh How I've missed the days when Peaceman gets in a dick swinging contest with me. I've backed off completely in case you haven't noticed. This whole Melo saga has been unbearable and difficult to follow. I chose to ignore the daily rumors, speculation and general BS that was mostly fabricated in pursuit of page views and notoriety. I'm not a fan of Gallo because I think he's adorable, in fact I've been pretty critical of him at times during the season. The problem is that if the deal thats's being reported is true, the Knicks are giving up too much for Carmelo and the fact that Dolan got involved in the negotiations is disgusting. Why even have a GM if you're going to swoop in and try to take credit for a blockbuster trade, one that your GM and your coach knows is a mistake? Walsh has done a pretty good job of assembling a team that can be competitive and will only get better as they grow and mature. This deal for Carmelo will be made out of desperation, likely to help clear Isiah Thomas' name, hindering the Knicks and their championship aspirations for the near future.
Even if NJ ends up not getting Carmelo they have won in the sense that they forced the Knicks to push up their price. Hopefully I'm wrong about that but I doubt Dolan's ego will allow him to walk away without securing his prizefighter. BTW have you seen the official Knicks statement? What a joke!
“We want to make it abundantly clear that we have been in constant communication throughout this process and the three of us are in complete agreement with everything that we are currently working on. Together, we will do what is best for the long-term success of the franchise. In addition, we want to make it clear that no one from outside our organization has been involved in this process in any way. We will have no further comment at this time.”
Isiah Thomas looms large ready for his ascension to the throne of MSG once again. Get ready for more reflexive and ill conceived maneuvers. Everybody deserves a shot at redemption right?
@AaronHodges Aaron who knows what's true or not. I didn't like the MSM Bullsquat that villified Isaiah. Sure he deserved to be criticized for his short sighted moves. Then again in context he was under a Win Now not Clear Cap Space mandate.
I think the current deal is a tad much but doable. Though, I think keeping Mozzy and Fields is a good thing and keeps needed role players that fill critical needs on the court for the Knicks. Going forward though I don't think the Knicks should offer more than what's already been offered. From what I've read they are going to hold and toe the line in the sand they've drawn. Good! GONYGONYGO!
Fuck Carmelo if he wants the Knicks to give up more! There i said it!
@AaronHodges This whole Gallo saga was unbearable for me! For the last 2 3/4 years! Glad he's almost outie! Next week the Knicks will be on their way to a Chip. Watch & learn...Son.
It seems that Knick brass have told Denver that it will not up the ante regarding its offer for Melo. See ESPN: http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nba/news/story?id=6141981 which is derived from Newday's sources--probably Alah Hahn who is presumably in touch with Knick brass on the latest Melo matter. "We're not going any further now," a source told Newsday. "It's out of our hands."
Sorry Gallo fans but Dani-boy will likely go instead of Mozzy and Fields if Knicks stick to their guns. The same Newsday source states that the Knick leaders (Dolan, Walsh and D'Antoni) are all on the same page regarding their trade negotiating issue. Since the ESPN article uses the term "Line in the Sand, " 0 & B clearly has influence beyond this blog. His "Line in the Sand" piece was either read by Hahn or perhaps Jimmy D himself who made it clear to Denver that there will be no more pieces to the Knicks offer.
If a deal does go down, the most logical time for an announcement wojuld be right after the All Star game this evening. That way both teams could conduct health checks on all players involved, have time for the respective players to meet the press and conduct one or two practices to integrate the new players to their respective teamates and coaching systems. Logic of course may not prevail here but I intend to carefully watch the end of the All Stat game tonight.
If the deal we have been waiting does happens and is announced tonight, perhaps we could open up the blog for a live LBE and immediate on-line interactive commentary reaction among Fanatics and all other readers. You all know that Post-up will for one "post up" his point(s) of view on the Fanatic board. LGK

@Post_up_Prince Hey Prince, I do think people get alot of insite and intuition for where to go w/ reports from the themes I explore in this blog. I'm glad I can help Knicks management. Hold that Line Dolan, Walsh, D'Antoni.
Now pay me! LOL!
@Lives @Post_up_Prince Lives
Why didn't you air your opinions sooner. Even via tweet. I could have run with it.
@Peaceman @Lives @Post_up_Prince ROFLMAO Dying! "Knicks need to package D'Antoni for George karl!" Classic stuff Peaceman!
@Lives @Post_up_Prince The Knicks haven't given up enough...they need to add Dantoni to the deal!
@Post_up_Prince The Knicks needed to draw a line in the sand, since they are already giving up too much in my estimation.
