Can Jeffries help the Knicks? This 29 year old 6'11 former Knick has the defensive tools and can run the floor. Question is.....can he forget the three ball and stay in the paint? Can the former "Mr Indianna" basket ball Star fight next to Melo and not with him? Can Billups make sure he stays in position and plays the 5? We'll see tuesday!
Jared Jeffries!! Is this what it has come to, waiting for Jeffries return? Jeffries does not rebound, his defense is average at best, and we all know about his very offensive game. What Jeffries offers is one less guy looking to get his. Jeffries is no more the answer than Mason(current) is. Rule 101. If the Wizard did not want you, then you are probably not a player.
Very few GMs go into theFeb. of the last year of their contract and are resigned. The decision on Donnie was made months ago,(probably when LeBron would not return calls). Everything else is just posturing. If Zeke does not make it back then look for Glen Grunwald to inherit the position. When you think ago it, it was a very shrewd move by Zeke to put his guy Grunwald on the payroll the summer of Anucha. He knew he would always have someone close to Dolan's ear and in the organization when he was not around. A pretty slick move.

Watch the Oscars? If the Big O had a twin brother with the same name, maybe.Last word on did we give up too much.LaLa, two years older than Melo had a lot of imput, as a good wife should. How aware of that was our negotiating team?Read this article. It clearly shows an ambitious wife with the other LA experience under her belt, who has eyes for only one place, NYC.We didn't have to throw in the family dog.The Anthonys clearly were focused on coming here for many (see LaLa's blowing -UP!!!! career) reasons.
But what's done is done, like Donnie.Walsh is done too.We need a fall guy to blame for the last thirty games.Someone has to go under the bus for our lack of rebounding and D.Forget about Walsh 's objections to the deal.If he want's that G-parachute he needs to play take the fall ball.In addition, only a sterling playoff appearance, we got to win a playoff game or two for No D' to save his job.I see him going, going, gone after about 20 games next season, unless, he brings in some D and big time rebounding, J.J. will not be enuff, to slow down the other team.Offensively he should be fine.Had the trade not happened, over his objections, he could have bought himself more time, but it is what it is.His situation is performance based while Donnie is just getting paid and played.Ah wilderness.I'd give Ike a lot of credit if he could just keep his mouth shut and orchestrate.Loose lips, sink ships. As for tonight's game, look for Melo to cash out at some point, why hurt yourself in a meaningless game that your chances are pretty smallin anyway? These guys are all friends so an ass whipping is really unnecessary at this point. There is very little to prove so look for a lead and a yawner.Hey maybe we could draft Oscar from that other Nothing But Actor's venue, a triple double and some True Grit would definitely help.LGK
Too bad we have to wait for Tuesday. We could use JJ against Miami tonight. Any speculation as to which Knicks will be cut to make room for Jeffries and possibly Earl Barron?. My choices would be Roger Mason and Anthony Carter.
I hope they keep Balkman. I noticed that D'Antoni inserted Belkman for defensive purposes toward the end of the game with Cleveland, when the Knicks were looking for a steal or stop. Another possibility would be to buy out or waive Kelenna Azubuike. If that happens, Knicks have concluded that Buike is never going to return to form. Inasmuch as KA's contract was not moved prior to the trade deadline, I assume that there is some optimism he can rehab and restore his game. If so, he can contribute on both ends.

@AaronHodges Me pretending to listen should be enough for you.

@Statesman I was once thrown out of a mental hospital for depressing the other patients.
@Tman Isiah talks far too much. Ego, Just can't seem to figure out how to deal with being disliked. Take Lessons from Mario Cuomo, Jesse Jackson and Donald Trump. Fump 'em and just do your thing. Your success speaks volumes and the hordes follow. So Isiah should STFU.
@Lives Tuesday is the day we can sign him...if we do!
