Man, this is a classic old schoolz thread. I hate to put another post over this one, but we must eventually move on. Steady, Peace or any of your other A1 KFB archivists, remember this thread. It will come back to taunt us a couple of years from now.

Time for Mr. Big Points (JMattHicks @524) to be added to the FFL Roll to the left. Come to think of IT. It may be time to add a couple more names too.

Hey for those who don't know, Jay Bee popped in at the last LBE and Vic C has been in the his-house (no not hiz-house, his-house.

As my steady brother from another mother, but same universal womb, reminds us, "This is how we scroll," although the mofo did try to taint whatever little NYC cred I been sportin'. No worries, once you taste living in C-town or sleeping with the ghosts of Langston Hughes and the Rennies for a couple years, that stuff don't wash off, it seeps through your skin. NYKFFL.

Miami's rumored to be interested in signing Bibby. Upgrade at PG? For sure...how much of one, idk.

@BARF You know, I was about to say that Bibby needs to retire, but I've been saying hte same thing about JKidd for three years and the brother just keeps on producing, some of it even higher quality than the average b-ball bear. I think of Bibby like I think of J-Kidd, except a poorer version. I like Bibby, because I loved Henry (there are those who know what I'm talking about) back in the day, but it was time for him to leave Atlanta although he was not the main problem. He just doesn't have the chops to run a high octane offense. Perhaps Bibby would be a better assist man than back-up Douglas, but we need a youngster to give Mr. Big shots big resting time.

Bibby to Miami is an act of desperation.

Steady sees how you rack up those points JMATT--you is no hick. Your comments are insightful and straight to the jugular. Steady saw your brilliance in the two words to Masai (despite their sophmoric approach in concluding a pro-Denver deal): "Please Stop".
That "wowe is us", "we got creamed", aw-shucks Presser was the ultimate post-heist con. The other night, NYK hater Round Mound of DUNG opined that he would pick Denver and the NYK adds to beat NYK and the Denver adds. Fortunatley Kenny Smith (himself not a NYKFL per se but still a NYer) had to CHECK him in the underdog lover category.
If you can recall the previous exchange between JMATT and Steady where Steady itemized the characteristics of a great coach, you will note that the coach should motivate his/her team to produce their best at every time/level. If IT was not there then, put IT in now. The coach and difference maker is and will continue to be Chauncey Billups (a.k.a Mr. Big Shot or Commisioner Gordon of Gotham calling on Batman--Amare and the Green Hornet--Carmelo with Landry Fields playing the role of Robin or Kaito interchangeably). Hopefully the NYK shows the same level of bravado and Defensive accountability against Orlando tomorrow night. The team that played the Heat last night harkened back to the days of JVG, holding teams under 90-95 points nightly. That team, playing as it did last night, can beat San Antonio or the Lakers in a 7 games series.

Steady as IT goes!

@LFJeremy You broke down your side with aplomb and like a true fan. Do you love the Spurs? Heck yeah! Do you love the Knicks? Not so much. Despite rockin' the H20 gear back in da day, Bloggas here know what's good.

@LFJeremy @Steady Man that was some good stuff JMattHicks!

That is a truly AWSOME way to enter the Fanatic family an analytic clinic on roundball fundamentals.

That's why I wasn't too keen the Mello at all cost option. Should have kept a Mozzy or Gallo or Wil. Believe me that would have been something fun to see.

Welcome officially to Knicksfanatics!

Penthousetime for JMatt folks???

Knicks should look into this. Bibby is being bought out. If he can accept a lesser role he'd be an awesome fit

@Steady @a Earl Barron is headed to the Bucks but I'm not sure the Bibby overture should be considered covetous. I wouldn't throw out the whole team for one guy. It was more pie in the sky, that would be nice, sorta thing. Should I add a Just Bloguin next time? As for LBJ and accountability, I think there has been an attempt to hold him accountable but it seems his branding has been quite effective. As long as the "King" moniker is free flowing from the lips of the "Witnesses" then he will continue to live in his little bubble. Did you hear about the twitter fight he and Booby had over who is the King of Cleveland? He has a lot of growing up to do.

Steady

@AaronHodges @a-Dub--Steady sees thou covetous ways and responds: Who do you throw out when in the previous thread you talked bringing in JJeff on Tuesday and Earl Barron for a 10-day to fill the big man needs. Last night, Rautins who was selected IN THE DRAFT and with a G-Cack (his papers are bona fide and bankable) was in a suit (hi low) and tabbed with an NBA injury to be INACTIVE. []'Amphony used 11 men in a rotation which was needed when the first line pressed and did not rotate to provide help D. They got the message from the sidelines. That same help D was what Stat (aka Batman or Statman--still working with IT) provided when he rolled to block LeBJ's scoop to the hoop. The second unit and hat tip to Anthony Carter, Taz and Walker stepped up and made a difference just before the half bringing the NYK lead to 1.Bloggas,Did any of you notice that move where LeBJ was called for traveling--and then feigned protestation? That was a selfish, "I'm a star and my fans love me" play which the purist HCs fix with a scolding and a seat at the right hand of the signal caller. LeBJ tried to "show up" our heros by throwing it to himself against the backboard to do a dunk. It would have been sensational. It would have been fabulous. It would have been exhilirating. It would have been STUPENDOUS. It was also STUPID. Wrong place, wrong time, wrong score. He's done that in Cleveland during the playoff game against Boston and taking a FT with the left hand. HE missed and his team went on to lose badly. He feigned a hurt elbow--a familiar NBA injury and Mike Brown lost his job. LeBJ loves the game but has not grown up in the game. Maybe someone will start to hold him accountable or the losing will make him grow up by force. That is what Steady sees and wait for your local MSMs to run with IT (right Lives, not Just Bloguin either).Steady as IT goes!H20 DOC IT 12NYKFL

“It’s going to take time,” D’Antoni said in one of his interviews after the Anthony trade.

That is something many older Knicks fans do not have much of. Many have been waiting since 1973. Now they have to wait some more?"

More BS from D"Ant.Rhodan says D'Ant has a yr and a half to prove himself, 2 playoffs.Anthony says the time is now. It's pretty obvious that the answer for this team is tough D and gang rebounding, not more excuses. Can D'Ant deliver? With Zeke in the wings I give him 20 games or so after they bring in some size next year.D'Antoni having to play defense, don't think it will happen, but then with Chauncey, "the Gardener" Billups in charge, all things are possible. It's a pleasure to see an OG guard do his thing.Lessons were learned on both teams yesterday and they were handed out by an old head.Anthony Carter needs some props for nice ball movement, another OG.D'Antoni is definitely on a very uncomfortable hot seat. And he knows it.So be it.LGK

@Tman @Orange_and_Blue @LFJeremy NoD = "Antoni. NoD's Job = Developing defensive schemes to go with defensive mindset as a priority.

Expecting offensive minded Amar'e and Studdy to do NoD's job on a nightly basis is like expecting . . . . (fill in the blank).

Tman

@Orange_and_Blue @LFJeremy On target O&B.Matt, review No D's reasons for leaving Phonyx. He was offended and refused to play D on a nightly basis. He hasn't done it here since his arrival. His brother coaches more D than he does.Your theory has the leopard changing his spots.Check his career so far.

@Orange_and_Blue @LFJeremy @Tman Say JMATT, Steady believes that O & B makes a point that is hook-line and sinker to that of Tman. There are a couple of Bloggas who have their own Code Crackers. For some Bloggas, a whole dictionary was created because the lingo keeps getting more colorful as Bloggas come and go.
As Tman goes, he is a Shakespearean. Shakespeare was a quiet man; they are both of few words. Their message is not in the words but in the meaning of the words. Tman and Shakespeare before him inspired the Steadyism: Thou shall not covet OTPs; thou shall not covet thy neighbor's baby momma or chick-on-da-side. But there seems to be a familiar acceptance of the latter point in San Anton as Le Francais clearly coveted and lost. LOL

@LFJeremy "Can" is very different from "want".Remember Cleveland.Obviously Amare and Anthony were motivated in Miami. You can't count on them to do No'D's job every night.I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
