Just look at the build up in the past purported Nuggets transactions. Nuggets General Manager Masai Ujiri is looking for a combination of young talent on manueverable rookie scale contracts or tradeable salaries plus a draft pick or two.
OK, Gents. Is there anyone who wants to run the LBE. I'm not available tonight. If not, does someone want to put up a game thread. If not, no worries, I'm audi soon.
Kevin Love finished with a big fourth quarter to set a Minnesota record with his 38th consecutive double-double, scoring 20 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in the Timberwolves' 112-108 win over the Rockets.
Love passed Kevin Garnett (2006) for the team's double-double record. Love's streak is now the longest since Moses Malone had 44 in a row during the 1982-83 season with Philadelphia. Utah's John Stockton also had a 37-game streak of double-doubles in 1989.
Gallo hasn't played in 38 straight games in any season.
The Daily News
"The Knicks and Nuggets have talked about other players changing uniforms, with one scenario having Raymond Felton going to Denver and Chauncey Billups ending up with Anthony in New York."
With due respect to Raymond, Chauncey is still the far better player, ask Coach K.And we only need him for a while, until C.Paul is ready to come.Chauncey, a consumate pro, has enuff left to mentor this team for the big stage.Great deal.Let's do this.LGK
Speaking of Fields.....I DO see some kind of resemblance between him & Rene =)
Just wanted to say hi. I've been following your blog for quite a while.
As for the whole Lakers/Carmelo thing. I immediately thought it was hype. Why would they need Bynum if they have a healthy Nene. It seems like Buss adores Bynum & wants to build the team around him & his size. He was supposed to be the new shaq when he joined the team......not quite how we all invisioned it right? =/
we'll see what happens......
looking forward to the game this friday....I hope the Lakers don't embarrass themselves :0
Dolan is a Fyck up.The carpetbagger from Leaveland has some interesting parallels to Big George, also from Leavelend.Steinnie had his Howard Spira, Jimmy has his Zeke the Greek , (do your hw).Stein finally had his success when he was forced to give up control and bring in pro management, Jimmy the Bimmee, the same.Steinie embarrassed himself by plaquing himself on the walls of Yankee Stadium as larger than Ruth, DiMag and Mantle.Dolan embarrasses himself nightly as a wannabee artiste.Have you ever heard him?Steinbrener's saving grace is being a tool on Seinfeld.Dolan has done the same for the family name as the producer of the Anucha Show.Bottom line, would you buy a used car from either of these two guys. Those are the good hands jumping into the Melo negotiations.Be afraid, very afraid. It could cost us Fields.LGK
Anothony a Laker? Never going to happen. Denver is still in the hunt for first place in the Northwest Division and the Lakers would have to give up a lot for a rental that will possibly be gone by the time the season ends. And I doubt that Denver would give up their star to a Western Conference rival. sheesh. if you news people want to make up a rumor, make up one that actually makes sense.
I'm good with Walsh being patient on this one. The most I'd give up for Melo is what is outline above. Ta ta Gallo, D'ANtoni will follow. Two birds with one trade!
Fields should stay. The rest of the pieces surrendered are superflous. Heck, Gallo, Walker and or Williams wit Azubuike and Curry's expiring contracts in some straight up or three team deal for Anthony is the line, I'd toe.
The Knicks don't have to up their offer. The Lakers rumor is bullshit! Finally Melo offers more drama then Lebron thanks to "sources not in Melo's camp."
@LFJeremy @Peaceman Excellent JMatt! Despite them beating the Knicks in the 1999 Finals, the Spurs are one of the few teams I can respect. Unlike the Heat, Lakers or Celtics they weren't put together as the result of Top Star collusion, Insider GM buddy work and sweetheart deals. They are a mid level market team that has been very welll run and deserving of the titles they've obtained. They are a worthy challenger to the throne this year.
@LFJeremy 100% agree with everything you've written!
Please join in more often...we look forward to your comments!
@Tman Sadly, T'Man, D'Opey don't like guys who can't chuck from 3 or guys who aren't hybrid 3/4s. Plain old ole school ballers like Love would never get a 2nd look in D'Opey's stupid system. Gallo should go to Denver so D'Ypshyt and his one dimensional talent tendencies and offense can go the way of the dinosaurs!
@Tman Sounds good but NY has to have assurances in their assesment of the next CBA to believe a "Franchise Tag" won't happen, that will tie up CP3 or Williams from the Mecca's version of the big 3 dream. I'd hold off on that for that very reason. Let's discuss Mr. T.
@frustrated_Lakerfan Hey hey, just check the Knicks v. Lakers post game if you can get MSG broadcast, he's usually featured. I'm sure the LA newsgroup for the Lakers will cover fields. Fields childhood Idol is Kobe, Damn! Make me feel old! LOL!
@Orange_and_Blue hmmmm I've just looked at pictures of Fields so I will have to pay closer attention to the rest LOL
@frustrated_Lakerfan Oh By the way, Fields has the same facial expressions and mannerisms of Rene' when he talks. A seeming doppleganger (clone) LOL!
@frustrated_Lakerfan Hey there frustrated Lakerfan. Trust us no one is more frustrated than us Knicks fans. Lakers at least rival the Celtics for Championships. My hat goes off to that organization for that. And let me ad I have absolute utter respect for Kobe Bryant, playing through something like chondromalacia is no joke. Seems like everytime out on the court he's pulling a Willis Reed in my humble opinion.
My hope is that your Lakers get a Sixth Chip for Kobe and send Jackson out with a bang!
Trust me if that happens I have a special article I intend to write about Kobe. It's will be inspired by Musashi. Check w/ Rene' I'll let him know what I mean about that.
Cheers and best of luck in this season and those that succeed!
