New Orleans, Houston and Lakers are re-engaged in talks to find a new way to complete Chris Paul blockbuster trade.
Someone tell me "what a difference a day makes?" Still holding firm that Paul will be a Knick BEFORE trade deadline!
KNICKS FANATICS RADIO SUNDAY AT 7:30PM. CHECK THE BLOG FOR THE CALL IN NUMBER OR LISTEN LIVE HERE!
I want this CP3 thing to be over with. So tired of talking about it. At this point if he goes to lakers Ill be happy
New CBA provision could keep CP3-Knicks alive.
Allan Hahn Dec 9, 2011
ITs time to start talking about who plays the 2 guard? Do you start Shawne or let TD play his natural position? Wait a minute, he is a young talent which Demps has been ordered by the Lil General S***** to covet. Other than Peaceman blowing the covers on the CP3 deal here which CP3 did himself last summer and Dolan did before him after McHale GAVE DannyBoy of the LepraCs The Big Ticket. Now that Agent 0 has been waived by Orlando, would any of you give some burn to a reformed Renaissance type at a post X-mas bargain basement price (i.e. the Vet max)?
Steady says IT ain't over 'till the triangle sounds RING at Mecca.
O&B... My indigenous brother is liking everyone against CP3 becoming a KNICK!
Well...... The Laker fallout may mean something....there are backroom deals in motion.... we shall see! Please don't tell me to "give it up"..as was advised last year with MELO!
"Dallas, despite winning a title with the 7-foot-1 center, was not interested in paying top dollar for the shot-blocker.
Chandler reportedly will sign a four-year, $58 million deal with the Knicks."
When have you hears a chip team cut loose its starting C?unprecedented in NBA history.Explanation please? When was Cuban ever called cheap? What is wrong with this picture?
Knicks reportedly begging ANYONE to take Turiaf and 3 mil so they can sign Chandler.Way to take care of our business.Brilliant planning, who's on first?
Demps said he has been given autonomy by the league — which owns the Hornets — to make another trade for the four-time All-Star.
"It would be real easy if Chris signed the extension but the reality is he didn't sign the extension, so we have to do everything we can for the organization," Demps said. "I wish he'd stay. I'm not going to lie about it.
Wait a minute..Paul want a 100 million extension that he could have by signing with NOH. But all the while..that was not it..He apparently wanted to play with 36 year old Kobe and other washed up players to sign an extension.
Makes freaking perfect sense to me! Forget about his favorite center in Chandler and best friend Melo/ The lakers without Odem and Gasol was his plan all along!
Makes perfect sense to me.I apologize for my terrible misunderstanding!
HOW IN THE FU^K DID I MISS THOSE OBVIOUS SIGNAlS!
MY SINCERE EMPHATIC .............
APOLOGIES TO ALL I MISLED BY NOT CLEARLY SEEING THE BIG PICTURE!
a little confused... you earlier stated "Amen... Big stuff you won't believe over the weekend!" and know you say CP3 will be a knick by the trade deadline. Im confused
Yes time to build up! Supersize us! @jsk793
@jsk793 I'm definitely starting to agree with you bro.... its another day of hearing espn "possibilities", and i'm getting tired of it. My ears bleed every time I hear Chris Retard talk. I HATE that guy!!
@Peaceman Kudos to O&B for being one of the early ones to outline this possibility.
@PeteLincoln Welcome Pete. glad to e-see you. However, the notion of picking up Carter is a little more than half crazy. Inconsistent, jumper happy, and since his injury shy about going to the hole which is what made him half amazing. No he's just an aging quarter horse waiting to be put out to pasture.
@Steady That's a rhetorical question bro, I know, since you are the one who forced me to pay attention to how bad 0's knees were when you treated me to that great D.C. hospitality at the Verizon Center with brother Modi in the wings. Agent 0 is quickly moving to the 0 impact player zone of his career.
@Peaceman This is different with Paul. We just signed Chandler, we don't have the money, unless we trade Amare for Paul.
Again Peaceman see the link below I provided to the B List issues. Their is a way to renegotiate the contracts of the big three front court to make space for Paul. Would Chandler, Melo and STAT do the extension to recreate the Manhattan Project? Time to bustanut! @Peaceman
@Tman Good question. You scare me here, although I love the idea of a versatile big in the paint. The front office has totally taken the team away from D'Antoni. It is clear that they are moving in a totally different direction. The game is going inside out instead of outside-outside.
@Tman MC Search is lining up his chips to go after the Dodgers. He'll be @$$ out if he does not get on the Magic train. That loco got Steve Garvey on it. They best do it quick cause the cable gravy is drying up to a crust in LA. Arte just copped $3Bs from Fox over 10 years. Who else got that type of cheddar out West? Spike TV? On another note, this could simply be a case of the 1%ers doing what they love to do the most--contrarily contradict the critical consciousness of commoners (read 99%ers).. In other words, this was a C-D deal so keep your A shut and your Bs going to TicketMaster. The product is certainly going to be much more pleasant and worthy of the $???million reno.
IT was already written the week after The Lone Rogue Ref.
@Tman ASK ESPN..THEY ARE MONEY WHEN IT COMES TO THESE MATTERS!
@Tman ITs on first. You know better Coach!
Sound the Triangle...ITs all in your hands Coach.
@Tman Latest info is that Turiaf was traded to the Wizards for a No. 2 draft choice.
@Peaceman LOL. Apology accepted.
Peaceman. Read provision below as part of ESPN's article on the B List Issues in the New CBA. Sounds like a dream. Read on:
'• A new "renegotiation and extension" provision allows an existing contract to be renegotiated so the player is paid a smaller amount over a longer period, but the player's salary cannot decrease by more than 40 percent. Renegotiations previously could only increase a player's salary.
@Peaceman No offense, but the Knicks dont have the assests to trade for him or the salary cap room. Give it up.
@jsk793 And ESPN did not confuse you last night?
@Lives i kinda agree but when u at the end u tend to play ur position because u want to win I say the same thing about AI i think we should pick him since Melo is running offense anyway
@Orange_and_Blue CP3 has an exception clause..it's called the "A" list!
@rich8859@Peaceman Watch the games richy-rich, LOTS of offense and now LOTS of defense too. Looks like a bunch of NYK guys (at least 3) are going up to da Bronx for a haircut and shave. Care to join them or is that your Movember in December?
Steady ringing the triangle, the clarion call to many rings at Mecca.
@rich8859YEP.. IT WAS REPORTED THAT WE DIDN'T HAVE THE PIECES TO GET MELO LAST YEAR!
i GUESS i'LL JUST SETTLE FOR THAT PROVEN LOGIC!
@Peaceman I never said that. I'm confused by everything
If it don't happen Rich, Baron Davis is an option worth exploring. Next year several decent Point Guards will be on the market, Goran Dragic, Ray Felton, and Ben Gadzuric plus Steve Nash. For now I say explore the B Davis route and see if Bibby has anything in the tank. Check out Live's piece on Jeremy Lin and check some vids on the kid. I know youtube is more for effect but you'll see a smart heady young pure point. @rich8859 @Post_up_Prince @Peaceman
@Orange_and_Blue@Peaceman Sounds like a stretch, but if Melo, Stat and Chandler want CP3 on their team, then the impossible become possible and team chemistry and cohesion can supersede individual greed. The emotional satisfaction of a championship can more than compensate for a few million here and there. The lucrative NYC endorsements and engagements thereafter will further enhance their bank accounts far beyond their salary contracts. One for all and all for one. The Manhattan Project and Dream of Glory is alive and well. Fanatics Never Lose Faith. LGK
I"m saying it appears possible for the Knicks to clear space with this "renegotiation and extension" provision. It would require the front court to give a little something of their own to work a reasonable salary for Paul. I hope I'm understanding the explanation correctly. Anyway. It's a suggestion. @Peaceman
