The New York Time's NBA blog features an excellent piece by Sebastian Pruitti of  NBA Playbook.com which explains why the Denver Nuggets, who now hold the 5th spot for the Western Conference playoffs,  have the most efficient offense in the NBA since the Melo trade.  Perhaps this simply supports the argument that George Karl should be selected as coach of the year because his team was the best offensive team in the NBA before Melo was traded and with this new roster of Knicks.  (Sekou Smith's Hang Time Blog).   J.R. Smith, without bad-mouthing Carmelo Anthony,  tells HoopsWorld how deep he thinks the Denver Nuggets are because the new Nuggets played in an uptempo system and play on both ends.  He says, "We've got 10-11 guys that can really play the game."

Since joining the Nuggets our boys, Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, Ray Felton  have teamed  up with Al Harrington to create a team that most expect to be stumped in the first round, but may be surprised to see move on because they are also a decent defensive squad and they have players who can get points from the foul line.  Karl has already expressed a preference that his Denver Knicks play the older and less athletic Mavericks in the playoffs as opposed to Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and the Thunder.

Timofey Mozgov and the Denver NuggetsTimofey Mozgov, who had been an early victim of the DNPCD (Did Not Play, Coach;s Decision) had his best outing as a Nugget in their win against the Lakers.  In Fifteen minutes he grabbed six boards and scored 5 points.  Unfortunately,  he sprained his knee and ankl in the next game and is expected to be out for two weeks.  Still, his off-court life remains mobile and interesting since he started sharing blogging duties with his bride.  He had just gotten married in Las Vegas to Alla, a beautiful woman baller who he met through a friend.  When he left we were able to follow his American adventure through his blog "Brainstorming" where he is friendly and often self-effacing as he speaks to his Russian fans.  Well, he is still blogging, but his wife has become his blogging partner too.  When she takes her turn writing she tells us about why she decided to marry Mozzy in America (something to do with the Visa) and how sad she was to leave New York.  The latest post is one by Mozzy, who is offering a prize jersey (he writes, "No -  not Amare or Nene. Yes - Timothy Mozgova."), for the best branding idea, something he can do after an amazing dunk or blocked shot.    One commenter suggested he should give a signal for "raping" a player and lie to lazy American reporters about what it really means.  The translation is actually kind of funny, especially when he tells him how to do it after dunking over Blake Griffin.

So, I chtitayu that you need the firm is not big zhestik not very pretentious, davolno quick and easy to perform. I do not know if anyone predladal. . . but not very bad gesture would be to hit the left hand on your right hand is not the end of a fist with the thumb side (I think you prikrano know this gesture and that he stands). The gesture is simple, fast, no pathos, not too focuses the attention (it is very important not to make too noticeable Stoi gestures, it can cause not very Shoroshim reaction from others) in time it will still be noticed.  We will be delighted with, Americans do not understand the true meaning, for them it will just be a nice gesture. This gesture symbolizes that you raped the enemy (in the figurative sense of course). If American journalists asked what the gesture means, then you can say that in Rossiimol is supposedly meant I was "made" an opponent ("unichnozhil, beat, etc.). But we should not tell them that schnachit this gesture really, but it is not so understood and served as the media will do everything checker different headlines ...
I believe that this zhestsleduet apply only after a really spectacular moments (savory blocks and Danko), when you really "raped" the opponent. Just think that this gesture is sometimes necessary to be used in combination with others (for example, after a powerful dunk over Griffin can yell that neither be based on emotions, hit his fist in the chest, and then moving eyes look toward the Griffin, and make your " firm gesture "). Number of hits on the palm of the fist will depend on the specific siuatsii and time (generally at its own discretion). The more the gesture is not nakoy too vulgar ... so that on account of this can not even worry.

Darko Milicic's RingAfter threatening to go back to Europe to play ball, TWolf Darko Milicic is still around, but surprisingly the innovative basketball website that references his name, FreeDarko.com, after two mildly successful books, is bowing out of the game with its last post on Monday.  The founders discuss their past goals and future with the New York Times . . . .We may have forgotten that Darko Milici, drafted by the Detroit Pistons, has a ring from the 2004 Championship. TWolves blog tells us that Darko is raffling off his ring and some other championship paraphernalia for The Zorana and Darko Milicic Fund for Children with Life Threatening Diseases.  $10 per chance. . . . Check out this great story about the development of LaMarcus Aldridge from the SI Vault.  Could he ever be a Knick?  Not sure he would leave the West based on this description of his character and loyalty.
